3 Ways to Speed Up the Protective Coating Drying Time

One of the biggest frustrations with protective coatings is the long drying time.

Coating downtime matters whether you are planning your own install or scheduling customer work. The waiting period depends on the product and the next step, not simply whether the surface feels dry.

Here are three options to consider when planning coating downtime: product choice, an approved topper, and a manufacturer-approved curing-lamp process. Follow the instructions for your specific products rather than a universal drying-time shortcut.

Dry-to-touch, ready for water exposure, and fully cured describe different stages. Do not use one as permission for another. Follow the coating's instructions for application, dry storage, rain exposure, and the first wash.

Undrdog Pro's current instructions list approximately four hours to dust- and tack-free and five to seven days to full chemical resistance.
